Definitions:

Gospel: Good news. Content of Christian preaching (Mark 1:1). The Greek word originally meant the reward given to a messenger bringing news of victory. (The Essential Bible Dictionary)

Justification:  Right relationship with God brought about by Him in response to faith; not by following a code of practice. (The Essential Bible Dictionary)

Sanctification: Being set apart for God, the Holy One to fulfill His will. Brought about through Jesus, the Holy Spirit, God’s word, grace, and faith.   (The Essential Bible Dictionary)

Theism/Theist: 1. belief in God: belief that one God created and rules humans and the world, not necessarily accompanied by belief in divine revelation such as through the Bible 
2. belief in god or gods: belief in the existence of a god or gods

Dogma: 1. religious belief: a belief or set of beliefs that a religion holds to be true 2. group belief: a belief or set of beliefs that a political, philosophical, or moral group holds to be true 

Doxy: set of beliefs: a set of beliefs, especially religious beliefs (informal)

Dispensation:  A dispensation is an administration within a period of time that is based on a conditional test to determine if people will be faithful to God and His conditions.

Covenant: A covenant is an eternal agreement made by God with humanity, revealing what God will do for people individually or collectively. God made covenants with the human race throughout history that specifically relate to one of the seven dispensations.
Each covenant reveals principles in embryonic form by which God will relate to humanity. (KJ Study Bible; pg 1832, Ephesians 3:2)

Pantheism: 1. belief that God is everything: the belief that God and the material world are one and the same thing and that God is present in everything 
2. belief in all deities: the belief in and worship of all or many deities 

Propitiation: win somebody’s favor: to appease or conciliate somebody or something 


Relativism: belief in changeable standards: the belief that concepts such as right and wrong, goodness and badness, or truth and falsehood are not absolute but change from culture to culture and situation to situation 

Saint:  1: one officially recognized especially through canonization as preeminent for holiness 2 a : one of the spirits of the departed in heaven (b : angel 1a) 3 a : one of God’s chosen and usually Christian people b capitalized : a member of any of various Christian bodies; specifically : latter-day saint. 4: one eminent for piety or virtue  5: an illustrious predecessor  (Merriam-Websters Dictionary)
