Real or Counterfeit?

There are many who say “All roads leave to Heaven;” or, “Muslims, Buddhists, etc., all worship the same God as Christians, they just use a different name.” 

There are some “so called” Christian religions who don’t accept Christ as who He is; the Lord spoken of in the Bible. They may acknowledge He is a God, or of God, or some other version, but they don’t accept that He was an integral part of creation and/or that He has always existed. There are also those who have knowledge of the truth and may even be leaders in the church, but their heart is far from God.

My goal here is not to attack anyone’s beliefs. My goal is to encourage everyone to seek the truth; the “absolute truth,” and put it into practice.  This is not about me being right, or you being wrong; it’s about loving my neighbor, and doing what Christ commands us to do. Teach the truth of His word. Close is not good enough. There is an old saying that goes “close only counts in horseshoes and hand grenades.”

Eternal salvation rest in the balance; do we really want to be on the side of error?

If you believe it doesn’t matter so much what you believe, as long as you believe, what I call counterfeit religious beliefs, I want to present something to you. Take out a one hundred dollar bill and let me see it. I will make a high quality copy of it and give you a copy. I will even be generous and give you two, or maybe three copies of it.

What? You say you don’t want a copy? Not even two or more?  You have a chance to double or even triple your money and you don’t want to? Why not?

It’s simple; because they would be counterfeit. You might be able to use them like the real thing for awhile, but eventually you will be tracked down and punished.

It’s the same thing with God. He will not accept counterfeit beliefs (religion). He gave us His word, and the ability to study and learn truth.  He will surely instruct all who seek Him. Those who choose their beliefs based on personal preference,

choose to have their ears tickled, or pick and choose what they like or want to believe, will face His wrath.

I beg you, don’t take my word for it, study His word and pray, asking Him to reveal His truth to you.

For the law was given through Moses, but grace and truth came through Jesus Christ. –John 1:17

But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him. God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.”

 –John 4:23-24

And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” – John 8:32

 

Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me. –John 14:6
