Quite simply, be careful when talking to someone who has
been hurt deeply. If you have not been in that person’s shoes, do not brush
their emotions off as nothing, nor, especially in chastisement. Lovingly come
beside the person and try to walk with them down the path to healing.
Christians are renowned for shooting their own wounded. It’s
time to stop this and love one another just as Jesus instructed.
Friend, if you are hurting, I pray for you. God wants to
heal the brokenness. Cry out to Him.
If you have caused offense with your insensitivity, ask the
Holy Spirit to help you become more caring. If you cannot, it is better to
remain silent.
